
Shenika D. Welch, Dance Assistant
Shenika is embarking upon her third year as a Medical Student at Meharry Medical College. She graduated from whites
Creek High School in 1997, received her B.S. from Tennessee State University in 2001, and will receive her Medical Doctorate
degree in 2007.
Shenika has received all of her training from Princecilla Ridley and has been with her for 15 years. Dancing is
her passion, and she enjoys sharing the gift with others. She is very active in many organizations and community endeavors,
both academically and socially. She enjoys community service and making differences in the lives of those less fortunate.
Shenika realizes that all of the blessings in her life are purely from above and she desires to use them as vessels to be
a blessing to others. She is the daughter of Deborah welch, her role model, and the oldest sister of Kimberly, Talesia
(Toya), and Lakesha welch. Upon graduating from Meharry, she plans to pursue a career in Obstretrics and gynecology
and a subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Fonzette Mixon, Business Manager
With a passion for community projects, in the area of Education, focusing on the
aspects of Healthcare and Information Technology, she has many accomplishments to be aspired. Currently employed as
Program Manager for Meharry Medical College as well as Adjunct Faculty with a local college she has been inspired with the
flourishing accomplishments of her cousin Ms. Ridley and has been a part of the team since 2002. Fonzette received her
undergraduate degree at Trevecca University and embarked her Masters in Education in 2005. Currently she is seeking
to complete her Doctoral in Education and pursue her teaching in an on-line environment.
The role that Ms. Mixon holds is one of many. Ms. Mixon is always trying to find new venues to helping
our disadvantaged community and to help young people as well as adults to find opportunity whether it is dance, music or if
you may be undecided. She is the center of the facility, collecting payments, webmaster, recital commentator, parent
committee organizer, etc. "Knowing God has made me patient and he has blessed me to bless others". She has made
many friends with the children and their families and would not trade her time here for the world.
